GR 11 Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Position Summary:
As a Network Engineer at NCR VOYIX Corporation, you will be part of a global team responsible for architecting, standardizing, and deploying new infrastructure technologies including Software Defined Networking, Traffic switching, High Density Wireless architecture, and Network Security. In this position, the engineer will be working directly with corporate and internal lines of business to support growth through project-based initiatives. Consults on the use and deployment of the user productivity tools and applications, enhancing user experience and participates in process improvements.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Design and implement Network Infrastructure solutions (LAN, wifi, WAN) using Cisco and other vendor products to support corporate business initiatives
- Duties are project work which includes integrating remote offices of acquisitions
- Communication with the project team, internal customer, and remote networking groups to understand requirements for integration
- Collaborate with your team to align infrastructure standards for architecture and configuration to meet corporate requirements
- Participate in planning of new technologies to drive infrastructure that aligns with the strategic roadmap
- Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade software and operating systems when required.
- Design the system performance data collection information, analyze and evaluate. Report the health information to management.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and connectivity problems and document problems and resolutions for future reference
- Able to lead team when major support issues are encountered
- Stay current with trends in IT related technologies and methods
- Knowledge of IT standards and have industry certifications like ITIL
Mandatory Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DHCP, SNMP, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of Cisco switches (latest Catalyst and Nexus), and wireless environments (latest WLCs and APs)
- Expert knowledge of Meraki Switches and AP’s
- Expert knowledge in using advanced switching technologies such as VPC, VDC, HSRP, PBR, and MAC Security
- Experience configuring Cisco ISE in a multi-switch model environment
- Experience with Infoblox for IPAM, DNS, and DHCP
- Strong skills using monitoring and infrastructure tools such as Cisco DNAC, CMX or Solarwinds
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN solutions like VeloCloud, Versa, Viptela.
- Excellent Communication skills at all levels of the organization with English as the primary communication language
- Strong action orientation and attention to detail
- CCNP Certification
QUALIFICATIONS And Expectations
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in managing a Virtual environment
- Experience in supporting a Azure/GCP Public cloud is a definite advantage
- Practical experience in implementing TCP/IP (v4 & v6) and LAN Technologies in a large departmental environment involving 100+ servers and replicated redundant networks
- Practical experience with Firewalls, load balancers and network simulators
- Systems/Network Monitoring Experience
- Windows, RHELinux and associated clusters
- Experience with a scripting language such as tcl, Perl, Python, and writing shell scripts
