Software Engineer I, Cloud Platform

Poshmark is seeking a passionate Software Engineer I to join their Cloud Platform team. This role is ideal for candidates excited to architect, build, and manage scalable server-side applications while collaborating closely with design, product, and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Architect, build, iterate, and manage server codebase with focus on high-quality, maintainable, and testable code. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, intuitive applications. Own critical product components with high internal and external visibility. Innovate and envision new features that add value and simplicity. Solve complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions. 6-Month Goals: Integrate smoothly into Team Poshmark and build strong working relationships. Gain proficiency in Poshmark's Cloud Platform and infrastructure. Make meaningful user-facing improvements and build new features. 12+ Month Goals: Propose and implement enhancements to the server codebase. Contribute to core infrastructure to accelerate feature development and reduce boilerplate code. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design. Proficiency with languages and technologies such as Ruby, JRuby, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS. Experience with databases and tools like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ. Familiarity with Linux environments. Preferred experience with Amazon AWS or other cloud platforms. A user-centric approach with a passion for quality.
