Job Description

Poshmark Inc. is hiring for the following role in Redwood City, CA: Software Engineer, Site Reliability to Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and software development stack that allows Poshmark to scale and support millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new product features and installations to facilitate Poshmark’s rapid iteration and constant growth;
• Build large-scale software systems that are highly reliable and robust;
• Implement changes to software systems in order to improve performance and scalability;
• Develop systems testing and/or validation procedures, and modify existing systems to improve performance;
• Design and architect large-scale, high growth systems to deliver on performance;
• Develop tools to improve Poshmark’s ability to rapidly deploy and monitor custom applications in a large-scale UNIX environment;
• Work closely with development teams to ensure platforms meets security, availability, and performance requirements;
• Codify our infrastructure with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes;
• Work on automation tools/frameworks used within Cloud Ops organization and deployment processes;
• Contribute to small to large scale projects;
• Identify gaps in infrastructure and suggest improvements; and
• Create meaningful alerts and dashboards for various sub-system involved in communications infrastructure. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field;
• Completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in each of the following: Languages: C/C++, Python, Bash, HTML/CSS, or JSON/YML; CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps; Debugging critical issues for site reliability; Monitor custom applications in a large-scale UNIX environment; Work on automation tools/frameworks used within Cloud Ops organization; Cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure; and Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  
  

Salary Range

$115,600.00 - $164,700.00 Annual
