Job Title : POS Systems Engineer / Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced POS Systems Engineer / Technical Lead to manage the stability, integration, and evolution of modern Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms across retail environments.
This role provides technical leadership for POS–SAP integrations, Control-M batch orchestration, and production reliability, while working closely with QA, SAP, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high availability, data integrity, and scalable retail operations.
Responsibilities
POS Platform Leadership
- Act as technical lead for POS platforms and integrations across regions.
- Define architecture decisions, standards, and best practices for POS integrations.
- Oversee modern cloud-based POS systems and store rollouts.
- Drive improvements in POS performance, resiliency, and monitoring.
POS–SAP Integration
- Lead real-time and batch integrations between POS, SAP (ECC / S/4HANA), and downstream systems.
- Collaborate with SAP teams on IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and financial posting accuracy.
- Ensure data reconciliation and consistency across POS → SAP → Finance systems.
- Ensure accurate processing of sales, returns, exchanges, taxes, tenders, loyalty programs, and promotions.
Control-M & Batch Orchestration
- Own Control-M job design, scheduling, dependencies, and recovery strategies.
- Monitor batch jobs and manage failure handling and controlled re-runs.
- Improve automation and reduce manual intervention through proactive monitoring and alerting.
Production Support & Incident Management
- Provide L3 support for complex POS and integration issues.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and long-term remediation plans.
- Participate in on-call leadership for major incidents.
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational KPIs.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-team troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, vendors, and business stakeholders during releases and rollouts.
- Support planning for platform upgrades, new features, and modernization initiatives.
