About the Job Role: We are looking for a Portfolio Associate (Entry Level: 0–2 years) to join our Delhi team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early professionals eager to learn the inner workings of the startup and venture capital ecosystem.
Job Description
As a Portfolio Associate, you will play a central role in supporting our founders, investors, and internal teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with portfolio founders (including alumni founders).
- Act as a dependable point of contact for troubleshooting, guidance, and ecosystem connections.
- Collaborate with the sourcing team and investor relations team to engage alumni founders and extend firm membership opportunities.
Portfolio Reporting & Compliance
- Follow up with founders for quarterly updates, MIS, audited financials, and analyze key insights for lead investors.
- Schedule and minute bi-annual investor update calls.
- Ensure compliance of portfolio companies with regulatory requirements (share certificates, filings, AGMs/EGMs, RBI filings, etc.).
- Review and maintain investment-related documents (SHA, SSA, PAS-3/4, FC-GPR filings, valuation reports, etc.).
Database & Investor Management
- Maintain organized databases and legal documentation across all portfolio companies.
- Update investment data sheets with funding rounds, exits, and portfolio performance.
- Assist investors with queries such as share transfers, legal documents, and portfolio statements.
Fundraising & Exits
- Track and support fundraising efforts of portfolio companies, including preparing investment notes and investor materials.
- Facilitate connections with other VCs and ecosystem partners (demo days, mixers, etc.).
- Support the full lifecycle of exits and write-offs, including drafting agreements and ensuring compliance.
Marketing & Ecosystem Engagement
- Work with the marketing team to create newsletters, blogs, and investor-facing content around the portfolio.
- Support campaigns and events such as talk shows, annual reports, and ecosystem networking sessions.
- Help portfolio companies access value-added services (recruitment, financial services, cloud credits, etc.).
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 0–2 years of professional experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Interest in startups, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with MS Excel/Word/PPT/Google Sheets; basic understanding of financial statements is a plus.
