Resort- Room Attendant
General Position Summary:
Maintains clean and attractive guest rooms and common areas in keeping with the organization’s cleanliness standards.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Approaches all guest encounters utilizing the Cleary Superior Customer Service standards
- Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans carpet and flooring in the rooms and throughout the facility
- Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in guest rooms
- Prepares beds, cleans restrooms and replaces amenities
- Strips beds and collects dirty linens while following organization’s blood borne pathogen program
- Removes trash and debris from guest rooms and follows the organization’s lost found procedures
- Accepts responsibility for a “Pass Key” during assigned shift; turns the “Pass Key” in to the appropriate person at the end of the shift
- Loads and unloads laundry machinery and performs all stages of linen processing, (sorting soiled and clean linen etc.)
- Attends all vendor and company training
- Cleans laundry machinery as necessary
- Assists in laundry inventories
Secondary Functions:
- Effectively manages time in an effort to stay within the daily cleaning schedule
- Reports all room damage immediately to the housekeeping supervisor
- Maintains confidentiality of all guests
- Other duties as assigned
