As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the team to deliver high-quality products, ensuring alignment with company goals, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. What You'll Do As A Senior Engineering Manager II Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions with team members. Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and growth. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and direction to the engineering team. Participate in architectural discussions and guide the team in making informed technical decisions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the teamʼs processes. Process Improvement: Develop and refine engineering processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration. Implement and monitor KPIs to assess the teamʼs performance and drive continuous improvement. Advocate for and implement Agile methodologies where appropriate. Resource Management: Manage resource allocation to ensure optimal team productivity and project success. Identify staffing needs and participate in the recruitment and hiring process. Oversee the onboarding and training of new team members. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary point of contact between the engineering team and other departments. Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and achievements to senior management and other stakeholders. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. What You Will Bring As A Senior Engineering Manager II Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or four years of equivalent work experience) Experience: 14+ years of software development experience. 5 years of minimum experience in management or leadership role. Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and project management tools. Technical experience: Experience with JavaScript and its frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.) Proficiency with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL Production JVM language experience, preferably Scala Proficieny with SQL, PostgreSQL expertise Development Tools: Experience with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc. Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. Database Management / CRM: Experience with relational and non-relational databases. Working knowledge of commercial CRM systems and integrations. Production Kubernetes experience. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset. Proven experience working with US based business teams. Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
