About the Role
Starshine Music is looking for a Part-Time Pop Music Marketing Associate to drive the promotion and growth of its music releases. This role requires strong, hands-on expertise across music marketing functions and the ability to independently execute and deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute end-to-end marketing strategies for song releases (pre-release, launch, post-release)
- Manage and grow social media presence, content distribution, and audience engagement across platforms
- Run, optimize, and scale paid ad campaigns (Meta, YouTube, etc.) with clear performance tracking
- Handle playlist pitching, PR outreach, and identify promotional opportunities (blogs, curators, media)
- Coordinate with artists and collaborators to align marketing efforts with the creative vision
- Track analytics across streaming, social, and ads; derive insights and continuously improve performance
- Manage distribution-related tasks (release setup, metadata, listings) and overall release coordination
- Identify collaborations, partnerships, and exposure opportunities
- Contribute new ideas to improve reach, branding, and audience connection
Requirements and Skills
- Strong, hands-on expertise in music marketing, preferably in English pop or related genres
- Proven experience working with artists or music projects in a marketing or promotional capacity
- Deep understanding of streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube) and their growth mechanics
- Strong experience in social media strategy, content planning, and audience building
- Solid experience in paid ads (Meta, YouTube), including optimization and performance analysis
- Ability to independently plan, execute, and iterate on campaigns with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills in a remote setup
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on outcomes
- Experience in playlist pitching, PR outreach, and music promotion ecosystems
- Understanding of SEO/AEO and content-driven growth strategies
- Exposure to independent artists, labels, or early-stage creative projects
- Experience identifying partnerships, collaborations, or growth channels in music
Work Schedule and Setup
- Part-time role (10 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule
- Weekly sync (1–2 fixed slots)
- Fully remote
