The Employee Experience Manager leads employee experience functions across four core areas: employee engagement, learning and organization development, employee relations, and benefits coordination. This role supports a positive, mission-aligned workplace culture by enhancing employee learning, connection, well-being, and overall experience, while also providing guidance on workplace concerns, performance management, and policy application.
What You’ll Do
- Lead employee engagement initiatives that strengthen culture, employee experience, and retention.
- Supervise the Learning & Organization Development team and oversee employee training and development programs.
- Partner with leaders and affiliated entities on employee development, performance management, and workplace concerns.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Oversee leave management processes (e.g., FMLA, TDI, HFLL, Workers’ Compensation) and support benefits communication in coordination with DMBA.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7 years of progressively responsible L&D, benefits, employee relations or other HR experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related master degree such as: MBA, MHRM, MSOD.
- Professional HR or Benefits certification (e.g., CBP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- Experience supporting employee engagement and organizational development initiatives.
- Experience developing and leading supervisor development programs.
- Knowledge of adult learning methodologies, content authoring, and LMS administration.
- Experience conducting performance investigations and addressing workplace concerns.
- Familiarity with Hawai?i employment laws and practices.
