Description
Demonstrates and shares proficiency in a specific cultural skill(s) which is of high quality, complex and difficult to master. These include, but are not limited to, music performance or composition, choreography, herbal medicine, tropical agriculture, architecture, tattooing, and storytelling of the cultural island area represented, ensuring authenticity whenever possible.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates and teaches cultural skills which are high quality, complex and difficult to insure the assigned cultural island area is as authentic as possible.
- Provides cultural information through demonstrations and lectures to guests.
- Provides general maintenance, custodial and grounds keeping of work area.
Requirements
- High level of cultural expertise and knowledge in the traditions, customs and practices of the assigned cultural areas.
- Able to execute correct cultural protocol and speech making.
- In good health, have a full range of body movement and have a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking daily.
- Able to speak both the common and honorific language of the culture being represented.
- Able to speak, read and write in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school graduate with one year of work experience in dealing with the general public.
Work Schedule:
