About the role
Responsibilities:
● Lead User Acquisition: Spearhead user acquisition for one of Pocket FM's largest genres, driving
strategies for growth and market penetration.
● Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team, implementing strategic marketing
initiatives across performance marketing, events, social media, product marketing, and
partnerships.
● Market Expansion: Develop and execute growth strategies focused on scaling Pocket FM's
presence in India, adapting global strategies for local relevance.
● Revenue and Retention Strategy: Identify high-growth and retention opportunities, optimizing
revenue channels and enhancing user retention from the ground up.
● Growth Planning: Align growth initiatives with business goals, balancing long-term brand building,
mid-term scaling, and short-term wins to hit targets.
● Channel Experimentation: Ideate, test, and scale organic and paid acquisition channels, exploring
new avenues to capture and retain users.
● Data-Driven Decision Making: Guide marketing strategies with data insights, employing
quantitative analysis, A/B testing, and customer feedback to shape initiatives.
● Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with internal teams—including creative, product, and
tech—to coordinate and implement growth-driving projects.
Qualifications:
● 5-10 Years of relevant work experience.
● Bachelor's Degree from Tier-1 Institute. Preference for an MBA Degree (Tier 1)
● Innately curious and thrives on gleaning insights from data, and able to identify creative
opportunities in content and translate these into sharp creative strategies with strong use of
analytics, user research, and business cases to drive decisions
● Strong communication skills
● Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced start-up environment
● Curious about metrics, execution processes, and keeping an eye out for details
