The Opportunity

 

Due to our continued success in securing large-scale and complex projects, we are now looking for an experienced Drawings Delivery Manager to join our growing Bangalore office (Global Design Support Office), Reporting to Head of Projects & Digital Drawings Delivery Manager in her/his leadership role will be responsible for growing drawings delivery, controlling the quality of delivery, implementing and managing project planning in execution of drawings. Manage Project offices Stakeholders including Process Department owners and Building Services / HVAC department owners for managing the output required. Lead the Team of CAD, SPPID, P3D…etc to achieve the work KPIs.

Align, support and move towards standardised tool (ex P3D) establishing, managing, and continuously improving the Drawing Office to support the efficient, high‑quality delivery of engineering drawings across projects.

The role combines Project leadership, people management, quality governance, and delivery oversight, ensuring drawings are produced in accordance with company/client standards, project requirements, and agreed schedules, using approved CAD and BIM platforms (example, Auto CAD, Plant3D, COMOS, Microstation, SPPID..etc).

  • Prepare proposals
  • Monitoring Team Capacity and Demand
  • Build team for the Project requirements
  • Lead and manage the Drawing Office function, including resourcing, workflows, and delivery capability.
  • Delivering onboarding for new BIM office staff hires on company BIM and CAD standards.
  • Maintain the Drawing Office drawing register and Control the filing, storage, and distribution of drawings, including tracking drawings issued and received by the department.
  • Establish strong Communication lines between Projects and Engineering stakeholders
  • Assess team capability and implement a continuous training programme to upskill drawing office staff.
  • Govern and maintain approved drawing standards, title blocks, naming conventions, revision control, and drawing issue processes.
  • Manage production, updating, checking, approval, and issue of drawings in accordance with PM Group standards.
  • Coordinate drawing office activities to ensure architectural, electrical, mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and general arrangement drawings are maintained at the correct revision.
  • Verify that project drawing packages are complete, accurate, and aligned with PM Group/client standards.
  • Set up Quality process and ensure Team following to defined Quality requirements of the projects and QMS
  • Operate in accordance with company QA and QMS requirements and contribute to the development and maintenance of CAD standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Communication with key multi-layer stakeholders Liaise with the Project team to ensure assigned work is managed in accordance with the agreed project schedule.

 


Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering streams)
  • 10+ years Industry Experience with 2+ years working in a similar role.
  • Experience with 2D & 3D modelling software packages.
  • Experience using Electronic Document Management System(s)
  • Good knowledge of Engineering Design project management Solid engineering acumen.
  • This role requires exceptional people and project management skills to ensure high quality output and continuous improvements.
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively across multiple teams
