About the Role:
The Project Manager – Transformation Office is a strategic role within the Directorate at Granules India’s Corporate Office, responsible for driving and orchestrating enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives aligned to the company’s long‑term growth strategy.
Operating as a senior individual contributor / SME, this role partners with CXOs, functional heads, and cross‑functional teams to define transformation roadmaps, govern complex programs end‑to‑end, track progress against key milestones, and ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes across the organization. This Role Reports to Transformation PMO Head. The PM will run strategic projects for the organizational growth around automation, process velocity improvement, productivity improvement, any other initiative impacting the top line or bottom line.
This is a transformation orchestration and governance role focused on enterprise outcomes, standards, and execution rhythm rather than task‑level execution.
The role serves as the central governance and orchestration nerve of the Transformation Office, ensuring alignment, accountability, and momentum across strategic programs, enabling operational excellence, digital maturity, and sustainable competitive advantage.
Responsibilities:
· The PM will setup and run strong governance around strategic initiatives across the organization (weekly catchup, steering committee meetings, daily conversations, etc.).
· Own transformation outcome measurement, including benefits realization planning, value tracking, and realization assurance; publish value dashboards and outcome reports for Steering Committees and senior leadership
· Lead the planning, execution, and governance of enterprise‑wide transformation programs across business functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and Directorate priorities
· Develop and maintain integrated program roadmaps, timelines, budgets, and resource plans; proactively identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies; track expenditures and optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI
· Collaborate with C‑suite executives, functional heads, and business unit leaders to define program scope, goals, KPIs, and success metrics; provide structured progress reporting to senior leadership and the Board
· Establish and operate a robust governance framework including Steering Committees, decision forums, review cadences, and escalation protocols
· Drive change management and adoption by working with stakeholders to minimize resistance and embed a culture of continuous improvement and transformation execution
· Drive continuous improvement in program and portfolio management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance execution maturity
· Collaborate with Business Process Experts(BPE) and Innovation & Design team (IDO) teams within the Transformation Office to identify and govern process optimization and digital‑led transformation opportunities across the pharmaceutical value chain (API → PFI → FD)
· Coordinate with external consultants, technology partners, and vendors to support transformation workstreams, ensuring quality delivery within scope, timelines, and budget
· Partner with global and regional stakeholders, as applicable, to ensure alignment of transformation priorities, standards, and reporting across geographies
· Understanding of Product Management frameworks will be a plus. Agile product management, scrum and/or kanban will add more weightage.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related discipline; MBA strongly preferred from Tier‑1 / Tier‑2 institutes
· 7–10 years of relevant experience in program management, management consulting, strategy execution, or transformation roles, preferably within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or manufacturing sectors
· Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale, cross‑functional transformation or strategic programs with multiple workstreams and senior stakeholder engagement
· Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies such as PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent frameworks
· Proven ability to work effectively with C‑level executives and influence decision‑making without direct authority in a matrixed organizational environment
· Strong understanding of pharmaceutical business operations including APIs, formulations, supply chain, regulatory affairs, and quality systems
· Professional certifications such as PMP or PgMP or PSPO are highly preferred
· Proven track record of delivering complex programs on time, within scope, and within budget in corporate or directorate‑level environments

· Advanced program and portfolio management skills across multiple concurrent initiatives
· Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level reporting and presentations
· Risk assessment, mitigation planning, and change management expertise to drive organizational adoption
· Proficiency in program management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent platforms
· Data‑driven decision‑making with strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools
· Financial acumen including budgeting, cost‑benefit analysis, ROI, and value tracking
· Leadership, collaboration, and facilitation skills in fast‑paced, matrixed environments
· Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into executive‑ready insights
· Act as a coach and subject matter expert for Functional PMO Leads, functional SPOCs, and Project Managers
· Design, maintain, and operate enterprise PMO dashboards and governance reporting packs
· Operate as a Transformation PMO Center of Excellence by defining and deploying standard templates, playbooks, reporting packs, and planning rhythms, and driving adoption of PMO standards and governance processes
Nice to Have:
· Familiarity with global regulatory requirements including US FDA, EU GMP, and other international agencies
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or experience with operational excellence initiatives
· Prior experience in a corporate directorate, CEO’s office, or strategic planning function; marketing or product management exposure is a plus
· Exposure to digital transformation initiatives, ERP platforms (such as SAP), data analytics, automation, or Industry 4.0 concepts in a manufacturing context
· Experience managing programs across multiple geographies and diverse cultural environments
· Willingness to travel across Granules sites based on business requirements
