Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures, ensuring that they operate efficiently and meet safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing techniques and be able to troubleshoot issues effectively while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine installation requirements and procedures.
- Install and maintain sanitary systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement effective leak detection strategies and conduct pressure tests on plumbing systems.
- Collaborate with other tradesmen and contractors on construction projects to ensure plumbing integrations are seamless.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating clearly with clients about plumbing issues and solutions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, functional condition.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in pipe fitting and installation techniques for various systems.
- Strong knowledge of water supply systems, drainage systems, and sanitary installations.
- Skilled in conducting leak detection and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications effectively.
- Familiarity with plumbing codes and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in plumbing.
- Valid plumbing license as required by state or local regulations.
- Certification in plumbing (e.g., Journeyman or Master Plumber) is preferred.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in residential and commercial plumbing installations.
- Strong capabilities in pipe fitting and installation with various materials such as PVC, copper, and steel.
- Experience in working with water supply systems and drainage systems.
- Knowledgeable in performing leak detection and implementing repair strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and team members effectively.
