Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Technician role based in Sarjapura. The PLC Technician will install, program, test, and maintain programmable logic controllers and related automation equipment for building systems and industrial processes. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC hardware and software issues, updating logic and control programs, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently in coordination with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC teams. The role involves interpreting electrical and control schematics, performing routine inspections, documenting maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime. The PLC Technician will collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and facility staff to plan upgrades, support commissioning of new equipment, and adhere to all safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills, including experience with common PLC platforms and basic HMI interfaces.
- Candidates should possess solid electrical and controls skills, including reading schematics, working with sensors and actuators, and understanding industrial control panels.
- Candidates should possess maintenance and diagnostic skills, including preventive maintenance practices, fault finding, and root cause analysis for automation systems.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with building services and industrial systems, especially in areas such as MEP, HVAC, and boiler operations.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in facilities management, manufacturing, or complex real estate environments is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to safety, ability to follow standard operating procedures, and readiness to work on-site in Hosur.
- Good communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and willingness to work shifts or respond to urgent issues as required.
