As a PLC Programmer, you will design, program, and commission the industrial control and automation systems behind our test and production environments. You will own control logic end to end, from I/O architecture and panel design through HMI, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
If you have programmed and commissioned PLC systems end to end, and you take pride in control logic that is safe, clean, and well documented, this role is built for you.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Design and develop PLC programs in ladder logic, structured text, and function block
- Design control panel layouts and I/O architecture for test rigs and automation
- Develop HMI and SCADA interfaces for operators and engineers
- Integrate industrial sensors, actuators, drives, and motion controllers
- Commission automation systems and automated test rigs
- Implement safety interlocks and emergency-stop logic
- Troubleshoot control logic and field faults to keep equipment running
- Document control schematics, I/O lists, and program logic
- Collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams on automated test setups
Requirements and Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional PLC programming experience
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, EEE, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Proficiency with one or more PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Delta, or Mitsubishi)
- Strong command of ladder logic and structured text
- Experience developing HMI and/or SCADA interfaces
- Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT)
- Experience with control panel design, wiring, and I/O testing
- Hands-on experience integrating sensors, actuators, and VFDs, plus commissioning and troubleshooting
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with motion control and servo systems
- Background in robotics or automated test equipment
- Exposure to safety PLCs and functional safety practices
- Experience with industrial robot integration
- Scripting skills for automation and data handling
