Role Description This full-time PLC Programmer role is a hybrid position based in the Kutch district, with some flexibility for work from home. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, and test PLC programs for industrial automation systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Daily tasks include configuring and integrating PLCs with SCADA, HMI, drives, and instrumentation; troubleshooting control systems; and optimizing existing programs based on performance data and customer feedback. The role involves preparing technical documentation, supporting installation and commissioning activities at client sites, and collaborating with project engineers and technicians to meet project timelines and quality standards. The PLC Programmer will also assist in system upgrades, participate in root-cause analysis for system issues, and provide training or technical guidance to operations personnel when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong PLC programming skills (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) and familiarity with major PLC platforms.
- Experience working with SCADA and HMI systems, including screen design, tag configuration, and alarm management.
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, control panels, and variable frequency drives, with ability to integrate field devices into control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and control schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation for automation projects.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) and basic networking concepts for automation systems.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on safety, reliability, and minimizing downtime.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients on technical matters.
- Relevant technical education in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering (diploma or degree) or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region for installation, commissioning, and support activities.
- Prior experience in industrial automation projects or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
