Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a PLC Programmer based in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining PLC programs for automation systems. Daily responsibilities include programming PLCs, conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting system commissioning, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver effective automation solutions is an integral part of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLC programming, including ladder logic and structured text
- Experience with industrial automation systems and low-voltage panel design
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software
- Knowledge in cable scheduling, termination, and installation of field instruments
- Ability to program and commission automation systems based on client requirements
- Familiarity with safety standards and industry norms
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field
- Experience with Siemens or AB Drives is a plus
- Prior experience in project execution and client interactions is advantageous
