Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role based in Hyderabad. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, and implement PLC programs for home and building automation systems, ensuring that control logic meets project requirements and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and testing PLCs and related hardware, troubleshooting control system issues, and optimizing existing programs for performance and reliability. The role involves collaborating with project engineers, electricians, and installation teams, preparing technical documentation, and supporting commissioning and handover activities. The PLC Programmer will also assist in integrating PLC systems with HMIs, SCADA, and other automation platforms, and provide ongoing technical support for deployed solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) and experience with common PLC platforms (such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar).
- Knowledge of industrial and building automation concepts, including sensors, actuators, communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and control panel design.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics, and work effectively with installation and maintenance teams.
- Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning control systems on-site, including diagnostic work with tools and software.
- Understanding of safety standards and best practices related to electrical and automation systems in residential and commercial environments.
- Relevant technical degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and version control.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate work with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to work on-site at customer locations in Hyderabad and occasionally travel to nearby project sites as required.
- Prior experience in home or building automation projects is an advantage, but motivated candidates with solid PLC fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
