Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled PLC & DCS Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and process control systems. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, safe, and optimized plant operations through advanced control strategies and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement control logic for PLC and DCS systems
- Work on platforms such as Rockwell, Yokogawa, Emerson, Schneider (M580), and Honeywell (C300)
- Program using Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text
- Develop and manage SCADA systems, HMIs, and PLCs (Siemens S7-1200 / S7-1500)
- Handle industrial communication protocols like Modbus, OPC UA, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform preventive maintenance for reliability
- Collaborate with process, maintenance, and operations teams for system integration
- Prepare and maintain documentation: control philosophies, loop drawings, SOPs
- Optimize control loops and system performance for improved efficiency
- Support project execution including system upgrades, commissioning, and modifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical / Instrumentation / Control Engineering
- Hands-on experience in PLC & DCS programming
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience of 4 to 7yrs in chemical/process industry preferred
