Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a PLC Automation Engineer based in Chennai, India. The PLC Automation Engineer will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation systems. Duties include developing process control strategies, supporting the integration of robotics, diagnosing system issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and optimal system performance. The role requires a hands-on approach to achieve production efficiency, reliability, and innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Skills in PLC programming, Troubleshooting, and diagnosing automation-related issues
- Proficiency in Process Control and Automation technologies
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles and implementation
- Knowledge of Robotics systems and their integration into automation workflows
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain technical documentation
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive or non-automotive sectors, is an advantage
