Role Description This full-time PLC Application Engineer role is based in Chennai. The PLC Application Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning PLC-based automation solutions for manufacturing and industrial applications. Day-to-day tasks include developing and testing control logic, integrating PLC systems with electrical and mechanical components, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and providing technical support during installation and after-sales service. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring solutions meet safety, quality, and performance standards for client projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Support skills for diagnosing issues, assisting clients, and ensuring reliable system performance.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills related to PLC programming, HMI configuration, and industrial automation software tools.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills for control panel design, wiring, PLC I/O integration, and understanding of industrial power systems.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering awareness for coordinating with mechanical systems, actuators, and machine components in automated setups.
- Candidates should possess Testing skills for validating PLC programs, performing system integration tests, and ensuring compliance with functional and safety requirements.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience with industrial automation platforms (e.g., Delta, Fuji, Siemens, similar) and familiarity with communication protocols is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site with clients and internal teams are required.
