Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Playwright Test Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The Playwright Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and executing test cases, performing functional and regression testing, analyzing test results, and reporting defects with clear documentation. The role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals to refine requirements, improve test coverage, and ensure high-quality releases. The engineer will also contribute to test framework enhancements, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Test Engineering, including designing robust test approaches and strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Test Execution and managing test cycles in an agile environment.
- Proficiency in creating, organizing, and maintaining Test Cases for web applications.
- Solid understanding of Testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
- Practical experience in Functional Testing, including validation of UI, APIs, and workflows.
- Experience with Playwright and scripting languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with Maestro is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and defect tracking tools.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
