As a key contributor, you'll collaborate with Product, Operations, Legal and worldwide Engineering teams to develop and integrate sophisticated online safety technologies into the PlayStation ecosystem. This role provides an exciting chance to help keep PlayStation's players safe and make a positive impact on the gaming community. You'll design, develop, and implement cutting-edge services to detect, report, and manage toxic behaviors and harmful content across games and the PlayStation Network. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with team members and game developers to integrate safety features that enhance the PlayStation gaming experience. Support the development and maintenance of software solutions that align with SIE's trust and safety standards. Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to ensure reliable service. Participate in the design and architecture discussions for new features and enhancements. Continuously learn and improve your coding and problem-solving skills by working with experienced engineers. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React). Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems with guidance from team members. Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to collaborating with a variety of partners. Eagerness to work in an inclusive, diverse environment that encourages collaboration and innovation. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with trust and safety practices or technologies. Hands-on experience through internships, personal projects, or coursework in web or server-side development. Interest in gaming and knowledge of the gaming community and online player experiences.
