Description
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Platform Support Engineer to support and maintain cloud-based applications and microservices platforms. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps concepts, Java-based microservices, and database fundamentals to ensure smooth platform operations and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production and platform support for cloud-hosted applications and microservices.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure platform availability and stability.
- Support Java-based microservices by analyzing logs, identifying issues, and coordinating fixes with development teams.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and understand core cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and automation activities.
- Execute basic SQL queries and support database-related troubleshooting and validation tasks.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational guidelines.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring tools.
- Basic to intermediate Java knowledge for supporting Java microservices.
- Good understanding of databases, SQL queries, and basic data concepts.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
- Experience in application support or production support environments.
