Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Controls & Enablement team reporting into the Infrastructure & Operations organization. This role requires a self-starter with proven experience in financial services, or similar, to help with the uplift of Measurable Security for Platform Engineering. Collaborating / developing standards and controls aligned to Industry frameworks; uplifting policies, standards, and controls; establishing continuous control monitoring; and maintaining the risk taxonomy. Seeking individuals with strong ability to partner, understanding technology and cybersecurity, with a passion for governance, communicating, and challenge technology and cybersecurity subject matter experts operating within a high-growth innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Mature governance program strategy and revise associated execution plans, operating model and KPIs
- Uplift Controls program and associated metrics; define accountability across the Towers and advisor communities
- Program framework to include industry, regulatory, and audit testing requirements; align and assess policy and standard population to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement including global governance.
- Establish tracability based on the Controls framework for policies, standards, and procedures leveraging available tools and resources, including automation
- Take accountability for ensuring remediation items tied to governance findings, such as documentation or control gaps are addressed in a timely manner
- Uplift environment and implement Measurable Security including refining approach, roadmap, use cases, and action plans to demonstrate time and risk reduction
- Collaborate across Risk and Controls organization, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, technology and cybersecurity subject matter experts
- Maintain regulatory requirements such as annual policy and standard reviews, and established enterprise standards and processes (e.g., enterprise policy templates)
- Provide consultation related to shifting landscape and impact on governance (e.g., DSPM, Security Monitoring, Access)
- Ensure Control Plane resilience through posture compliance and performance

Requirements
- 3+ years experience successfully operating in a governance-type role within cybersecurity and/or technology for a highly regulated financial services firm
- Experience with Archer, JIRA, Service Now, GRC / control automation tools
- Strong understanding of what a good governance program looks like and demonstrated ability to articulate, drive, and measure successful development or transformation in technology and/or cybersecurity
- Highly experienced in partnering across business lines and 3LOD, influencing outcomes to meet governance, security, risk, regulatory, and business objectives
Core Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Strong prioritization and organizational capabilities including ability to identify roadblocks, risks to proactively address
- Understanding of key frameworks’ (e.g., NIST, CIS) industry alignment while being detail oriented to articulate clear and appropriate policies, standards, procedures/ controls
- Proven ability to develop team competencies and skills
- Familiarity with spreadsheets; collaboration with teams using data, and ticketing/workflow systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira)
Preferences
- Experience implementing process improvement through technology, automation, artificial intelligence
- Related technical experience in cybersecurity, product, or technology Tools

- Ensure that internal controls requirements can be aligned to external frameworks
