Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Platform Engineer. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable platform infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting application and platform issues, developing and deploying software solutions, managing infrastructure operations, ensuring database performance, and writing efficient, maintainable code to meet business needs. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and maintain a secure and reliable platform environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates from IITs only will be considered for this role
Qualifications
- 5–7 years in Platform Engineering
- Education should be from IIT
- Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD & Terraform
- Solid understanding of GCP (IAM, VPC, Cloud Run, CloudSQL)
- Hands-on with Docker & Kubernetes
- Scripting skills (Bash/Python)
- Experience debugging across pipelines, IAM, Terraform, and cloud infra.
What You’ll Do
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (shared runners, templates, autoscaling)
- Deliver scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform on GCP
- Embed security & compliance into pipelines (IAM, policy-as-code, vulnerability scanning)
- Drive AI-powered automation for pipelines, IaC, and troubleshooting
- Manage artifact & container workflows (Cloudsmith, image standards, retention policies)
- Provide tier-2/3 technical support and resolve complex platform issues
- Enable and onboard product teams with best practices and documentation
- Enhance platform observability (metrics, logs, dashboards)
- Maintain clear, self-service developer documentation
