Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- The Cloud Platform Engineer ensures stability, scalability, and security of Azure-based platforms
- Focused on optimizing cloud services, driving automation and cost efficiency to support enterprise workloads
- End-to-end responsible for Digital Cloud Platform (DCP); available outside office hours during extended rotations
- Focus on automation and Kubernetes; design components within feature teams
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance; follow tagging policies
- Integrate observability into central monitoring; provide self-service provisioning
- Ensure platform stability and participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents
- Collaborate with product, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and platform teams on standards, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and guardrails
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement corrective actions
Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cloud or Platform Engineer in Azure environments
- Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud resource management
- Proficient with Azure Services, Azure DevOps, and Git
- Familiarity with Elastic Cloud, OpenTelemetry, and cloud observability tools
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
- Knowledge of microservices deployment
- Expertise in one: transactional DB (PostgreSQL, Azure SQL), NoSQL (CosmosDB), or GenAI/LLM infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Quick learner with ability to explore new tech
- Preferred: multi-region cloud, CI/CD, custom Kubernetes Operators, GitOps (Argo CD), Service Meshes (Istio), Google Cloud Platform
