Your Job
As a
Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and operate enterprise Kubernetes and integration/streaming platforms that enable reliable compute and data integration across Edge (on‑premises) and Cloud (AWS) environments. You will help deliver secure, highly available, and scalable platforms that support mission‑critical applications, including digital, AI, and manufacturing use cases.
You will work across the full platform lifecycle—engineering, automation, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement—partnering closely with application teams and global stakeholders.
Our Team
You will be part of a global, 24×7 platform capability within Koch Capabilities India, responsible for delivering and operating standardized compute and integration platforms across edge sites and cloud environments. The team collaborates closely with application and product teams to enable self‑service, improve reliability, and evolve platform standards at scale.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and operate Kubernetes clusters across development, staging, and production environments in Edge and AWS
- Engineer and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Ansible (or equivalent)
- Implement and operate GitOps practices and tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, Rancher) for cluster and application management
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and drive continuous improvements in reliability, performance, and security
- Partner with application teams to support containerization, optimize resource utilization, and accelerate platform adoption
- Provide operational support including consulting, debugging, break/fix execution, and participation in on‑call rotations
- Enable self‑service capabilities for application teams on Kubernetes and streaming platforms
- Share knowledge, build strong internal networks, and continuously challenge the status quo through learning and experimentation
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3–5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, networking, storage, RBAC, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Experience with GitHub‑based DevOps workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines)
- Hands‑on experience with GitOps and orchestration tools such as ArgoCD and/or Rancher
- Experience administering cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Azure exposure is a plus)
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go for automation, tooling, and platform management
- Experience with streaming or messaging technologies such as NATS, Kafka, MQTT, or similar platforms
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or equivalents
- Exposure to edge computing, hybrid cloud, or distributed architectures
- Relevant certifications such as CKA/CKAD and/or AWS certifications
