We are seeking a Platform Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise data platform. This role will be responsible for day-to-day Snowflake operations, including user support, access management, workload and performance monitoring, cost tracking, data pipeline assistance, and basic query and warehouse optimization. The engineer will help ensure platform reliability, efficiency, and a strong user experience across a broad set of stakeholders.
In addition, this role will participate in the evaluation, testing, and rollout of new platform features and capabilities, helping the organization adopt best practices and improve platform maturity. The engineer will work closely with senior team members to implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions.
A key aspect of this role is familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) concepts and tools, with an interest in applying them to build automation agents for platform operations. This includes exploring use cases such as intelligent monitoring, automated troubleshooting, query optimization recommendations, and user support assistants. The candidate should be comfortable experimenting with emerging AI capabilities and integrating them into workflows where appropriate.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, proactive, and highly collaborative. Strong willingness to partner with Integration, Governance, and BI teams is essential, as this role will contribute to cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes, enforce data governance, and automate platform operations.
