About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to build, scale, and maintain robust internal platforms that empower development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. This role requires a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and platform automation, along with the ability to drive engineering excellence and standardization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable platform infrastructure
- Develop and manage Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) to enhance developer productivity
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software delivery
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and system performance
- Implement observability solutions (monitoring, logging, tracing)
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance standards
- Optimize cloud usage, performance, and cost efficiency
- Drive standardization of tools, frameworks, and best practices across teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and infrastructure issues
- Mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives (for Manager role)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Shell)
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system design
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or developer tooling
- Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native architectures
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security automation
- Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
