Job Description – Platform Architect (Aviation OS)
Role Overview
The Platform Architect – Aviation OS will be responsible for designing and leading the end-to-end architecture of next-generation aviation platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high‑performance cloud-native systems while integrating Generative AI capabilities to enhance automation, intelligence, and user experience across aviation products. The architect will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end architecture for aviation platforms using modern cloud-native technologies.
• Drive technology selection and architectural decisions with focus on scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Integrate Generative AI capabilities to enhance automation, intelligence, and platform functionality.
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions across different technology stacks and cloud ecosystems.
• Stay updated with aviation industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting architectural best practices and innovation.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with aviation industry standards, security frameworks, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in platform architecture or enterprise architecture roles.
• Strong experience designing large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Exposure to Generative AI concepts, tools, frameworks, and enterprise implementations.
• Experience working across cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
• Experience in the aviation domain (products, platforms, or operations) is a strong advantage.
• Proven leadership and team mentoring experience.
Preferred Skills
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools, APIs, and enterprise integration strategies.
• Knowledge of aviation data standards and aviation technology ecosystems.
• Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance innovation with practical delivery in highly regulated environments.
