Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Plastic CAD Design Engineer. The engineer will develop and optimize detailed 3D CAD models, create technical product design plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet engineering standards and project goals. Responsibilities include generating engineering drawings, analyzing designs for manufacturability, and actively contributing to the innovative product development process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and expertise in creating detailed 3D models
- Strong skills in Engineering Drawings and Design Engineering
- Knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design processes
- Ability to analyze designs for manufacturing feasibility (DFMA) and select appropriate materials for projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field
- Experience working with plastic materials and injection molding processes is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
