Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plasma-CFD Engineer with specialized expertise in high-speed and high-temperature plasma, alongside multiphase gas flow modelling. As a critical member of our team, you will model and optimize the dynamics of plasma flows within our reactor designs to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and purity in our silicon production. Proficiency in COMSOL Multiphysics or similar CFD software suites is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed CFD models for high-temperature plasma flows and gas-phase reactions within silicon production reactors.
- Apply advanced simulation techniques to analyze multiphase flows, thermal effects, and plasma-material interactions.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to integrate plasma flow models with chemical and thermal models for comprehensive reactor simulations.
- Utilize AI-driven methodologies to optimize reactor designs and process parameters for improved output quality.
- Analyze simulation data to identify improvement areas and propose innovative solutions for complex flow dynamics and thermal management.
- Contribute to the validation and calibration of simulation models using experimental data.
- Stay current with global developments in CFD and plasma physics to continuously improve simulation accuracy.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Plasma Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in CFD modelling and simulation, specifically with COMSOL Multiphysics or equivalent software.
- Physics Background: Solid understanding of plasma physics, particularly in high-speed and high-temperature environments.
- Modelling Skills: Proficiency in gas dynamics, multiphase flows, and plasma-material interactions.
- Frameworks: Experience integrating simulation models into multi-physics and multi-scale frameworks.
- Innovation: Familiarity with AI-driven optimization techniques is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate proficiently in English.

Notice Period
Seven days written notice by either party following confirmation of employment. During the probationary period, either party may terminate the engagement with three days written notice.
