Role Description The Plant Supervisor at Becarre speciality ingredients is a full-time, on-site role based in Palakkad, responsible for overseeing daily plant operations and ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently. This role includes planning and monitoring production schedules, coordinating workforce assignments, and managing material flow to minimize downtime. The Plant Supervisor will enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while regularly inspecting equipment and work areas to identify and resolve operational issues. The position involves leading and coaching plant staff, conducting performance check-ins, and supporting training initiatives to build skills and maintain high productivity. The Plant Supervisor will also collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams, prepare routine reports on output and performance, and recommend process improvements to enhance plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in plant or production supervision, including day-to-day operations oversight and shift management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow optimization in an industrial or plant environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, provide clear direction, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control practices.
- Ability to interpret production data, prepare reports, and use basic productivity and inventory management tools or software.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the capacity to make timely decisions under operational constraints.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal instructions and concise written documentation.
- Preferred educational background: diploma or degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience in an on-site manufacturing or processing facility, ideally in a supervisory or lead role.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support plant operations and respond to urgent issues.
