Ayka Medical is a leading manufacturer of medical packaging and sterilization monitoring products. Our manufacturing unit in Rai, Sonipat specializes in label printing, screen printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching for domestic and export medical markets.
We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong Plant / Factory supervisor with specific experience in label printing and screen printing, who can take complete ownership of print quality, process discipline, and wastage control on the shop floor.
This role requires strong printing know-how, not just people management.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end supervision of label printing and screen printing operations
- Control and optimize ink preparation, shade matching, registration, curing, and adhesion
- Identify, analyze, and eliminate common printing defects (mis-registration, smudging, ghosting, ink bleeding, poor adhesion)
- Implement and monitor in-process quality checks at each printing stage
- Reduce raw material and ink wastage through process improvements and operator discipline
- Plan daily production schedules and machine allocations
- Maintain daily production, rejection, and wastage reports
- Ensure preventive maintenance of printing machines, screens, and plates
- Train and guide machine operators on printing best practices
- Coordinate with the Delhi office for order priorities and dispatch planning
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and factory safety standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology / Packaging / Production / Mechanical Engineering
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in label printing and/or screen printing
- Direct experience with pressure-sensitive labels and medical / pharma packaging
Strong understanding of:
- Printing inks (UV / solvent / water-based)
- Screens, mesh selection, plates, substrates, and adhesives
- Print quality control and defect root-cause analysis
- Ability to independently manage a printing shop floor and operators
