Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plant Operator role based in Chennai. The Plant Operator will monitor and control plant equipment, follow standard operating procedures, and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production activities. Daily responsibilities include starting and shutting down machines, adjusting operating parameters, checking gauges and readings, and responding to alarms or deviations. The role also involves performing routine inspections, supporting basic maintenance tasks, coordinating with quality control teams, and accurately recording production data and logs. The Plant Operator will work closely with supervisors and co-workers to maintain safety, housekeeping, and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Plant Operations and Machine Operation to manage production equipment and follow operating procedures effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to monitor product standards, identify deviations, and support corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance to perform routine checks, basic troubleshooting, and assist with preventive maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation to handle material movement, loading, and unloading safely within the plant.
- Relevant experience in chemical or manufacturing plants, understanding of safety protocols, and ability to read and follow technical instructions are beneficial.
- A vocational diploma, industrial training certification, or equivalent in mechanical, chemical, or industrial disciplines is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to work in shifts, and ability to collaborate with diverse teams will be an advantage.
