Role Description The Plant Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Virar, responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations. The Plant Manager will plan, supervise, and optimize production activities, ensuring output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Daily responsibilities include managing plant teams, monitoring equipment and processes, coordinating production schedules, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics to maintain smooth plant operations and timely order fulfillment. The Plant Manager will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while fostering a safe, transparent, and performance-driven work culture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Plant Management and Plant Operations to oversee end-to-end facility performance and daily activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management and Manufacturing Operations to manage workflows, resources, and production efficiency.
- Candidates should possess skills in Production Planning to forecast demand, schedule production runs, and manage inventory levels.
- Strong leadership, team management, and people development abilities, with experience supervising frontline and mid-level teams.
- Knowledge of FMCG manufacturing processes, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FSSAI, hygiene and safety norms).
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making in a plant or factory environment.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Virar and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
