Role Description
Plant Manager – Steel Manufacturing
Location: Ghaziabad (On-site)

We are looking for a highly driven and execution-focused Plant Manager to oversee end-to-end plant operations at Chaudhry Steels. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, process discipline, and adherence to standard operating procedures across the manufacturing unit.
The ideal candidate will act as the central point of coordination across production, quality, and maintenance—ensuring that all plant activities run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with defined standards.
While prior experience in steel or manufacturing is preferred, we are open to candidates with strong operational and managerial capabilities who are willing to learn technical processes within the first 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations including production, workforce management and maintenance.
- Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
- Monitor production output, efficiency, and downtime; take corrective actions where needed
- Coordinate across departments to ensure seamless workflow and minimal operational bottlenecks
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, rejection rates, and turnaround time
- Implement systems for process monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement
- Supervise and guide plant staff, ensuring discipline, accountability, and performance standards
- Identify inefficiencies and drive cost optimisation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Report directly to senior management with regular updates on plant performance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong operational or plant management experience in manufacturing (steel industry preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to manage teams, enforce discipline, and ensure execution on the ground
- High ownership mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement
- Basic understanding of production workflows, machinery, and industrial operations (can be learned on the job)
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills across multiple functions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Management,Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred
- Candidates with hands-on manufacturing experience without a formal technical degree will also be considered
