Role Overview
This role will lead HR for our manufacturing operations in Bangalore, with a strong focus on shopfloor workforce management, compliance, culture building, and enabling scale. This is a critical role in building a high-performance manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shopfloor Workforce Management
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of shopfloor employees including hiring, onboarding, engagement, and retention
- Develop hiring pipelines for operators, technicians, supervisors, and engineers
- Reduce attrition and improve workforce stability
- Build structured onboarding and training programs
2. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all labour laws and statutory requirements including:
- PF, ESIC
- Factory Act compliance
- Shops & Establishment
- Contract labour compliance
- Manage contractor workforce and vendor compliance
3. Culture & Employee Engagement
- Build strong employee engagement across shopfloor and staff
- Drive initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and ownership
- Act as a bridge between leadership and manufacturing teams
4. Performance Management
- Implement structured performance management systems
- Enable goal setting and performance reviews
- Support capability building and career progression
5. HR Systems & Processes
- Build scalable HR processes aligned with manufacturing scale
- Drive attendance, payroll coordination, leave management systems
- Implement HR best practices suitable for manufacturing environments
6. Leadership Partnering
- Work closely with Plant Head and leadership team
- Support organizational design and scaling plans
- Act as HR partner for manufacturing leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must Have:
- 5-10 years HR experience in manufacturing industry
- Strong experience managing shopfloor workforce
- Deep knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Experience working in factory environment
Preferred:
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing / EMS / Automotive / Industrial manufacturing
- Experience in scaling manufacturing workforce
- Experience working in fast-growing companies
