Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Workforce Management
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle for plant-based employees, including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR systems in compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Administer attendance, leave, shifts, overtime, and workforce scheduling aligned with 24x7 plant operations.
2. Statutory Compliance & Labor Law Management
- Ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws such as Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, and Shops & Establishments (where applicable).
- Handle statutory registrations, licenses, returns, inspections, and audits at the plant.
- Liaise with labor authorities, inspectors, and external consultants as required.
3. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations and proactively address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Support domestic inquiries, investigations, and corrective actions as per company policy.
- Engage with worker representatives, committees, and unions (if applicable).
- Promote a positive work culture, open communication, and employee engagement initiatives.
4. Contract Labor & Vendor Management
- Manage contract labor deployment in compliance with CLRA and company guidelines.
- Coordinate with manpower contractors and ensure statutory compliance of third-party labor.
- Monitor attendance, wage payments, safety compliance, and contractor performance.
5. Training, GMP & Safety Support
- Coordinate induction, GMP, EHS, and behavioral training programs for permanent and contract employees.
- Support safety committees, mock drills, and compliance activities related to EHS and GMP.
- Ensure training records are maintained and audit-ready at all times.
6. Performance Management & Rewards Support
- Support implementation of performance management systems for plant employees.
- Coordinate annual appraisal cycles, promotions, and salary reviews in line with corporate HR guidelines.
- Facilitate reward and recognition initiatives to drive engagement and productivity.
7. HR MIS, Reporting & Audit Readiness
- Prepare and maintain HR MIS related to headcount, attrition, absenteeism, overtime, and compliance metrics.
- Provide data and documentation support during internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure HR systems and records meet GMP and data integrity standards.
