About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Site HR Business Partner (HRBP) to drive the people agenda at our manufacturing site in Bangalore. This role will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring a compliant, capable, and engaged workforce that supports safe, efficient, and sustainable API manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong industrial relations expertise, deep understanding of pharma/API operations, and the ability to influence leadership while being hands-on at the shop-floor level.
Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with Production & Quality leaders to forecast manpower needs aligned with production pipelines
- Manage and optimize Manpower Cost per Kg metrics
- Conduct HR Dipsticks and Stay Interviews to improve workforce engagement and retention
- Lead floor engagement initiatives (GEMBA, 5S, etc.)
2️⃣ Talent & Performance Management
- Drive annual performance appraisal cycle balancing output, quality, and compliance KPIs
- Identify and develop High-Potential employees for supervisory roles
- Facilitate succession planning for critical site roles
- Partner with L&D to enable functional skill enhancement programs
- Improve productivity and performance efficiency in collaboration with Operations & Quality
3️⃣ Industrial Relations & Compliance
- Lead implementation of New Labour Codes at site level
- Ensure 100% compliance in contract labour lifecycle (PF, ESI, Gratuity, statutory norms)
- Manage grievance handling, domestic inquiries, and maintain a strike-free environment
- Build and sustain strong relationships with union representatives
- Liaise with statutory authorities and government officials
4️⃣ Culture & Employee Engagement
- Foster a culture of transparency, discipline, and trust
- Lead employee engagement and workplace climate improvement initiatives
- Drive recognition & reward programs to improve engagement scores
5️⃣ Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Plant Head, Legal, Production, Safety, and Corporate HR
- Engage with external agencies, trainers, and regulatory authorities
- Align site HR initiatives with corporate people strategy
Qualifications & Experience
- MSW / MBA / PGD in HR or equivalent
- 12–15 years of relevant HR experience in Pharma/API or Manufacturing industry
- Strong expertise in Industrial Relations and statutory compliance
- Proven experience in workforce planning, talent management, and engagement
- Exposure to regulatory audits and labour law frameworks
- Financial understanding of manpower cost structures
