Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plant Head, based in Indore. The Plant Head will oversee and manage day-to-day plant operations, ensure efficient production planning, maintain quality control systems, and manage budgets to achieve production targets.
The candidate will be responsible for handling overall factory operations including production, maintenance, manpower management, dispatch coordination, process improvement, safety compliance, and customer-focused execution. The role requires a strong all-rounder who can independently manage the factory and ensure smooth production flow across all departments.
The Plant Head must also have hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and executing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to improve operational efficiency, quality consistency, and workplace discipline.
In addition, the candidate should possess working knowledge of SAP software for production planning, inventory management, reporting, and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete plant operations and production activities
- Ensure timely production planning and dispatch execution
- Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs across departments
- Maintain high standards of quality control and process discipline
- Monitor production efficiency, wastage control, and cost optimization
- Handle manpower planning, team management, and workforce productivity
- Coordinate with purchase, stores, maintenance, and dispatch departments
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and sustainability standards
- Prepare production reports, MIS, and operational analysis
- Utilize SAP software for production tracking, inventory control, and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the factory
- Manage customer commitments and ensure timely execution
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Plant Operations and Production Management
- Strong skills in Production Planning and Quality Control
- Experience in Budgeting and resource management
- Hands-on experience in SOP preparation and implementation
- Good working knowledge of SAP software
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage factory operations and production activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Experience in the corrugated box or packaging industry will be preferred
- Dedication to maintaining safety and sustainability standards
