Role Description The Plant Head role is a full-time, on-site position based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, overseeing end-to-end plant operations. Responsibilities include managing daily production activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, and maintaining consistent output aligned with quality and safety standards. The Plant Head will lead production planning, coordinate with cross-functional teams, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. The role involves implementing cost-effective processes, overseeing maintenance schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies. The Plant Head will also mentor and develop plant personnel, promote a culture of accountability and safety, and support strategic decisions impacting plant performance and profitability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Plant Operations in steel industry(sponge iron plant) and Production Management, with the ability to oversee end-to-end manufacturing activities.
- Strong skills in Production Planning and Budgeting, including resource allocation, cost control, and meeting production targets.
- Experience in Quality Control, with a focus on maintaining product standards, implementing quality systems, and ensuring compliance.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including team management, performance monitoring, and fostering a safe, inclusive work environment.
- Solid understanding of mining and metals manufacturing processes, plant safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle operational challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and senior management.
