Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plant Head located in Chennai. The Plant Head will oversee overall plant operations, ensure production planning, maintain quality control, and manage budget adherence. Responsibilities include optimizing production processes, managing teams, and implementing production strategies to achieve efficiency and organizational targets. The Plant Head will also coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Plant Operations and end-to-end Production Management
- Proficiency in Production Planning and Budgeting to optimize resources and meet objectives
- Solid understanding of Quality Control procedures and standards to ensure regulatory compliance
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a similar field
- Prior experience in the medical device or related industry is highly advantageous
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate across multiple teams for seamless operations
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. Master’s in operations/management is an advantage.
- 15+ years of experience in medical device, precision manufacturing, or pharma-based manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated success in managing production teams of 400+ employees in a regulated environment Strong understanding of cleanroom operations, extrusion, laser machining, and assembly workflows. Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and EU MDR guidelines.
