Job Summary
The Plant Head – Operations will lead and manage the complete manufacturing operations
of the plant
including foundry, machining, production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, supply
chain coordination and plant administration.
The role focuses on operational efficiency, productivity improvement, cost optimization,
and maintaining high quality
and safety standards while achieving production and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage end‑to‑end plant operations including foundry, machining, planning,
quality, maintenance and dispatch.
• Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum utilization of manpower,
machines and materials.• Coordinate with Sales and Planning teams to ensure proper production scheduling and
on‑time delivery.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement
projects.
• Monitor daily production meetings to review production status, rejection levels and
improvement actions.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are implemented for all machines and
equipment.
• Manage raw material availability with Purchase and Stores teams to avoid production
delays.
• Oversee quality control and quality assurance across foundry and machining
operations.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal rejection and customer
complaints.
• Support NPD team for new product development, feasibility studies, sampling and PPAP
completion.
• Monitor operational KPIs including OEE, rejection rate, productivity and on‑time
delivery.
• Ensure safety standards across the shop floor and promote safe working practices.
• Review ERP entries and ensure accurate operational reporting.
• Lead and mentor cross‑functional teams and promote accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications
Education: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering (MBA
Operations preferred)
Experience: Minimum 10+ years in foundry, casting or engineering manufacturing industry
with leadership experience
