Role Summary :
We are looking for a practical, hands on PPC Manager with experience in CRCA and profile manufacturing. The role will manage monthly, weekly and daily planning from RM coil to finished customer dispatch across HR slitting, continuous pickling, rolling, annealing, re-rolling, pinch pass, final slitting, packing and dispatch. The candidate must combine shop floor understanding with strong data discipline, capacity planning and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
· Prepare feasible production and dispatch plans based on customer orders, RM availability, WIP status, machine capacities and process routes.
· Plan and monitor production across CR HR slitting, pickling, rolling, annealing, pinch pass, final slitting and dispatch.
· Map and validate SKU-wise routes considering grade, thickness, width, temper, hardness, delivery commitment and customer requirements.
· Prepare machine wise and day wise capacity loading; identify bottlenecks, RM shortages, quality holds, delayed WIP and recovery actions.
· Maintain 100% coil traceability. Track RM, WIP, FG and scrap movement; support material balancing, stock reconciliation, yield tracking and plan-vs-actual reviews.
· Support slitting and yield optimization by grouping compatible orders, improving coil utilization and reducing width loss, scrap and knife changes.
· Maintain structured trackers and dashboards for order status, RM availability, WIP stage, machine loading, backlog, dispatch plan, capacity utilization, yield and scrap.
· Coordinate with Production, Quality, Sales, Dispatch for timely execution, escalation and closure.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
· B.Tech / B.E. in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.
· Minimum 5 years of PPC / planning experience in CRCA, cold rolling, steel processing or precision profile manufacturing.
· Practical understanding of cold rolling, annealing, slitting, pickling, WIP movement, RM planning, yield and scrap.
· Strong MS Office and Advanced Excel skills; ability to handle large planning data, trackers and reports.
· Good coordination skills with plant, sales, dispatch, quality, stores and purchase teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in CRCA, multi-stage route planning, grade-wise/thickness-wise capacity loading, slitting optimization, yield improvement, Advanced Excel, Solver, ERP/SAP planning modules will be preferred.
Candidate Profile :
The ideal candidate should be a manufacturing planner with actual PPC ownership. The person should understand the RM-to-FG material journey, work with plant data, identify planning gaps and improve the system step by step with strong ownership and willingness to learn advanced planning tools.
