Role Description The Planning Manager – MEP / Datacenter Exp role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role is responsible for developing and managing detailed project schedules for MEP works in data center and mission-critical facilities, coordinating closely with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams. The Planning Manager monitors project progress, updates schedules, analyzes variances, and recommends corrective actions to keep projects on time and within scope. Daily responsibilities include preparing progress reports and dashboards, tracking resource allocation, managing dependencies, and supporting risk identification and mitigation. The role also involves collaborating with clients and stakeholders on planning milestones, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong project planning and scheduling skills, including experience with tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management software.
- Technical understanding of MEP systems and datacenter infrastructure, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Experience in project controls, including tracking timelines, costs, resources, risks, and performance metrics for large-scale or complex projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including creating progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal teams and clients.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain clear documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or Construction Management; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PSP) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in planning for MEP works in datacenters, industrial facilities, or mission-critical projects in India or GCC is highly preferred.
