Company Description
S.N. & Company specializes in projects that blend advanced engineering with cultural and historical preservation. Established in 2003, the company has grown from handling modest government assignments to undertaking large-scale construction projects requiring technical excellence and strict compliance. Known for its integrity, timely delivery, and engineering quality, S.N. & Company focuses on developing infrastructure that fosters community growth and preserves cultural heritage. We are committed to sustainability and precision, ensuring each project contributes to building a stronger nation.
About the Role
S.N & Company executes government construction, heritage conservation, and museum development projects across Uttar Pradesh — including the Gorkha War Memorial, Bhartendu Natya Academy, Tribal Museum at Chandrika Devi, and the Jhansi Museum. With multiple sites running in parallel and government clients holding firm timelines, planning is not a back-office function — it is what keeps the company's promises honest.
We are looking for a Planning Engineer to own project schedules end-to-end across our portfolio — building baseline programmes, tracking progress week on week, surfacing slippages early, and giving leadership and clients a clear, defensible picture of where each project actually stands.
Note on tools: Strong working command of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MSP) is essential for this role, not optional. You will be expected to build, baseline, and update schedules in both, and produce client-ready outputs from them.
What You'll Do
Scheduling & Baselines
- Build detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 and MSP from drawings, BOQ, and execution methodology.
- Develop WBS, activity lists, logical sequencing, resource loading, and cost loading where required.
- Establish baseline programmes with the site team and client; freeze and version-control them properly.
- Prepare look-ahead plans 3 week, monthly, and quarterly aligned with the master schedule.
Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Collect daily and weekly progress data from site engineers; update schedules in P6/MSP without losing data integrity.
- Calculate physical and financial progress, planned vs actual, earned value, SPI, and CPI where applicable.
- Produce weekly progress reports, monthly client review decks, and dashboards leadership can read in five minutes.
- Maintain S-curves, histograms, and critical path views; flag delays on the critical path before they cascade.
Delay Analysis & Recovery
- Identify slippages early; run delay analysis (impact, cause, responsibility) and propose recovery schedules.
- Build catch-up plans with the site team resource ramp-up, sequence changes, shift extensions and track whether they actually recover the time.
- Maintain a clean record of extensions of time (EOT), delay events, and client/contractor correspondence for claims and audit.
Coordination Across Sites
- Run weekly planning reviews with each site engineer and Senior Civil Engineer.
- Coordinate with procurement on long-lead items and material delivery dates feeding the schedule.
- Coordinate with MEP, structural, and museum/AV vendors on inter-discipline dependencies and handover dates.
- Maintain a portfolio view all active sites on one dashboard for the Head of Operations.
Tendering & Pre-construction
- Support tender preparation with preliminary schedules, methodology statements, and resource plans.
- Build the construction programme for new project mobilisations from day one.
