Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Planning Engineer role based inBrahmapur, Odisha, India. The Planning Engineer will develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with project managers and site teams, and track progress against baseline plans. Responsibilities include preparing and updating work breakdown structures, resource and production plans, and short-interval look-ahead schedules to support on-time delivery. The role involves monitoring project performance, identifying delays or risks, and recommending corrective actions to maintain cost, time, and quality targets. The Planning Engineer will also prepare regular project control reports, support client and stakeholder meetings, and ensure accurate documentation of planning data and assumptions.
Qualifications
- Strong Planning and Production Planning skills, including creating, updating, and optimizing project schedules.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills and experience in Project Control to monitor progress, evaluate variances, and propose corrective measures.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency with project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar) and MS Office applications.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations for large-scale projects.
- Ability to work on-site in Bujumbura, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience in project management consultancy or large multi-disciplinary construction projects is an advantage.
